Helping Indian Students in US Universities - Case Study of AK

Meet AK. Originally from Chennai, he did his BS in Chemical Engineering. When he got an admission to USC, he took a bank loan, got his F1 visa and went over to USA. He is about to finish his MS in Chemical Engineering at University of S California. Academically, he did very well.

But at the end of his studies, it was hard to get a good job! The recession was depressing.

Through the EdVantage network, we helped in the following ways:

* got him to discuss his placement challenges with other faculty members (one of them, who is a senior faculty at the University of Houston, advised him to do a Ph D - that was one option)

* got him interviews with some companies

* provided him an option to get back to India, with specific job opportunities
